An invasive prenatal paternity test requires the involvement of an OB-GYN. This type of paternity test cannot be performed independently, unlike a non-invasive prenatal paternity (NIPP) test. An OB-GYN must conduct chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis for an invasive DNA test to occur. Keep in mind that invasive prenatal testing carries risks to the fetus. Therefore, independent paternity testing cannot be performed. Currently, we do not offer NIPP testing services.
